This church
St John in Delabole
Dedicated to St John the Evangelist, this 19th-century church stands in the village of Delabole. Built at the height of quarrying for local Delabole slate, it has a magnificent slate altar and candlesticks.
The building is also available to the community for bookings for parties, clubs, and events; it is home to several local music ensembles because of its airy feel and bright acoustic.
As with the other churches in the benefice, there are strong links with the Methodist Church and other fellowships in the village, with regular joint services throughout the year.
Bumps, Babes, Tots and Toys (BBTT) runs on Thursday mornings during term time where families with young children are welcome to a fun time of play, stories, crafts, songs and snacks.
